Usually the first sign of aging are wrinkles around the eyes. So we go out and purchase creams and serums to keep those lines at bay to help these lines appear less noticeable. I’m one of these people. But in furtherance to avoid the cost of getting Botox, I did some research and came across some remedies to use on your eyes, which you can make at home and save some money. Using these remedies can help plump your skin, improve circulation and brighten your skin tone. Here are a few things you might want to try:
1. WET TEA BAGS
Take a couple of tea bags of your choosing and wet them. Then place the wet tea bags in your refrigerator and place the tea bags over the area of your eyes where wrinkles appear. Keep the bags over your eyes for about 10 to 15 minutes. If you do this on a continual basis, the area of the wrinkles will start to fade.
2. VITAMIN E
Yes! Vitamin E can help reduce fine lines under the eyes. Since Vitamin E is an antioxidant and the oil is very thick, it will hydrate your dry skin very well. The oil in the Vitamin E will soak the under eye area and help make fine lines disappear. It will also assist in the prevention of new lines forming. Every night before you sleep, squeeze the oil out of a Vitamin E tablet and place it where you see the lines under your eyes.
3. AVOCADOS
A while back I wrote a blog about regarding a mask incorporating avocados. Avocados have made their way back to the blog as a way to help with wrinkles under the eyes. The natural oil contained in the avocado helps turn on your skin’s natural oil production, making the skin look younger. Smash an avocado and spread the mash under your eyes where the wrinkles appear. Leave the mash on for 10 to 15 minutes and gently remove.
Those are just a few ways to help with wrinkles and fine lines under the eyes. Of course, it is always wise to use serum and moisturizer everyday; once in the morning and once at night. This will help in the battle of lines and wrinkles under the eyes.
