Purchased by Me
I bought this in the shade light/medium. I have light/medium skin that leans
more medium in the summer, so I figured the light/medium color would be a good
match. Wow, was I ever wrong! This stuff goes on with the color and consistency of Elmer’s glue. Seriously, it is so thick, impossible to
blend, and snow white in color! I haven’t been this disappointed in a
product for a long time.
According to Hard Candy, the Lite Bright whipped concealer is a brightening concealer which illuminates, corrects and helps reduce the appearance of dark circles over time. How does this compare to YSL’s Touche Eclat? Both claim to correct and brighten, and with Hard Candy you save $$$. But is the product worth the savings?
Assuming this product was going to be as fabulous as Hard Candy’s Glamoflauge concealer, I picked this
product up without batting an eye. Boy, was I in for a disappointment. I truly wanted to like Hard Candy’s Lite Bright whipped concealer, but the product dries too fast to work with, and the texture is very thick. I have some fine lines under my eyes that it sinks into throughout
the day. I like that its a drier concealer that is unlikely to cake up,
but it dries on your skin way too fast, so I find myself scrambling to
blend it out immediately after application. Also, the coverage was spotted, and it did not brighten as promised on the package.
The packaging is also a mess because the brush at the end is constantly
clogged with nasty dried up concealer. I do not appreciate having to
wash the brush off before I want to get product out. Also, they force
you to waste the little product they give you because too much comes out every time you click the pen.

So instead of wasting your money, save those dollars and purchase something which really works; YSL’s Touche Eclat which can be purchased from Sephora (not an affiliate link) for $41.00.

Aw, what a shame it didn't live up to the expectations. Under eye concealers can be tricky…

Oye that sounds terrible!! Thanks for the review! I, personally, like Maybelline's Dream Lumi. Thankfully, it has none of these issues and is perfectly lovely. While I haven't used Touche รclat, I've seen it as a dupe on many reviews ๐

Eeekkk, this sounds terrible! Not sure if I've seen this brand here but if I do, then I will give this product a skip!

Bummer, that sounds terrible! Would have been nice to be a dupe for YSL! ๐

I know! I was very disappointed about that. I was hoping that it would be a good dupe.
