So what exactly is an eyeshadow primer? It is a liquid or cream based product which is applied to the eyelids to make your eyeshadow and eyeliner go on smoother, and make the product last longer. But is eye primer really necessary?
So I have suffered from unruly eyebrows for so many years that I have lost count. When I came across clear brow gel, it was like a God send. I had tried the tinted brow gel, but had a difficult time finding the right color not to mention the fact the tinted gel costed more than the clear. After trying many brands of clear brow gel, I was able to narrow down my choice to two brands: Ardell Brow Sculpting Gel and ELF Brow Gel. So which gel rose to the top?
First what does brow gel do? For those of who do not know, the gel contours and defines your brows. It gives all day hold and brow conditioning.
The Ardell Brow Sculpting Gel is lightweight, fast drying and fortified with Castor Oil for conditioning to help promote hair growth. Also, the Ardell Brow Sculpting Gel is smudge and water resistant. It is equipped with a mascara wand which helps make it easier to shape your brows. You can even use this product over brow powder or brow pencil. It will keep your brows in place with zero residue or stickiness. The Ardell Brow Sculpting Gel retails for $4.99, and may be purchased at Wal-Mart.
As for the ELF Brow Gel, you will find that it makes your brows glossy and healthy-looking. The consistency of the ELF Brow Gel will help make your brows appear flawless. The ELF corporation has divided this product into two sides: eyelashes and brows. This makes it so that you have only a little but of product for your brows. But I say go ahead and use both side for your brows if you choose. The ELF Brow Gel retails for $2.00, and may be purchased at most drug stores.
Now while ELF is cheaper by $3.00, the quality and the quantity is not there. Sure both of the products sculpt your brows, but what is the point of using a cheaper product and running out of the product after only a few uses? In my opinion it is best to pony up the extra $3.00 for the Ardell Brow Sculpting Gel and buy a product which will last you longer.
