The two primers are in tone adjusting green. Which conceals the redness more? Which goes on smoother? And which one out performs the other? The purpose behind any multipurpose skin primer is to prepare your skin so makeup goes on evenly for a long lasting satin finish. So read on, and find out the winner of the green primer wars!
ELF Mineral Face Primer in green says it fills in lines and creates a flawless finish. It is supposedly ideal in minimizing redness and correcting blotching skin. The ELF primer is really smooth, and is great for layering on your foundation. If you have a blemish or dry skin, ELF has you covered because it will prevent the foundation from clumping up around it. This primer will smooth it out so that you can still achieve a flawless (or as close as you’re gonna get) appearance with enough foundation application. However, ELF feels oily, and the bottle seems to be flimsy.
Make Up For Ever High Definition Primer in No. 1 is a green primer that helps to soften a pinkish complexion. No product will eliminate it, but it takes away the redness without looking caked on. And it lasted nearly all day long. It seems to help with redness a little more than ELF. It went on smoothly and did not seem cakey even when combined with other products. It helped to keep the foundation color from oxidizing and improved its wear time. Basically, it did everything that it promised to do.
The winner of the green primer wars is…(drum roll)…….Make Up For Ever High Definition In No. 1 by a small margin. I did not not like the fact that the ELF primer was packed with air. To me that is money down the drain, no matter how little money it is. Plus, I like the way the Make Up For Ever primer felt over the ELF primer.
The Make Up For Ever High Definition Primer No. 1 retails for $34.00. It may be purchased at Sephora; www.makeupforever.com and www.paulaschoice.com.

How about mentioning the ELF product is only $6 ? Not much "money down the drain" for "losing" by a "small margin"
