K-Beauty has reared its head again on this blog and it is all about eye cream containing snail secretion. What is snail secretion filtrate, and why use it in skin care? Snail filtrate contains hyaluronic acid, glycoprotein, proteoglycans, and antimicrobial and copper peptides. These products are used in a lot of skin care products, many of which have proven to be excellent for your skin.
The product I am reviewing is the Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream. The product has 80% snail filtrate and E.G. F. (epidermal growth factor) which are effective in brightening the skin around your eyes and caring for wrinkles. The eye cream is great for those with sensitive skin. It has no fragrance, artificial color and no parabens. The product itself, it not sticky nor oily. And with snail mucus filtrate, your eye area will be able to regenerate and refresh in no time.
I have used this eye cream for a little over two weeks. I like to use the Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream day and night, and prior to putting on concealer, if any. The light texture of the eye cream helps my skin absorb fast and does not make my concealer cake. Since I have been using the Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream, I have had fewer experiences of my concealer caking on me.
Since using Mizon, I saw that the skin around my eyes and eyelids are more hydrated and smooth, even more than some the high end eye creams on the market. My eyes stay hydrated for well over 12 hours without any residue and without irritation. And I have noticed that some of the fine lines under my eyes have become less defined, along with some brightening. I’ve used plenty of eye creams over the years, including some quite expensive ones, and I have not seen such remarkable results as I’ve seen with the Snail Repair Eye Cream.
I should say, a little dab will do you. However, according to Peach & Lily (sale site for this product) if you take too much at once, use the excess on fine lines around your mouth, on your décolletage, or anywhere else you want to restore firmness and elasticity. It will work on those areas as well as under your eyes.
I know some of you are a little grossed out by the idea of using snail filtrate on your skin. But I do say that I think this product really works. Snail mucin is not the oozy, gooey slime that you may think it is. When it is formulated into a serum, it smells and feels like any other moisturizer. So do not let the idea of snail mucin turn you away. It is very beneficial for your skin, less expensive than some of your higher end eye creams, and works just as well as the high end eye creams.
The Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream retails from $9.99 thru $22.00. It may be purchased at www.peachandlily.com; www.target.com and www.amazon.com.
