I was recently approached by the makers of Masqueology to review a few of their sheet masks. Masqueology is relatively new to the skin care market. The sheet masks are reasonably priced and they have an array of sheet masks dedicated to the skin care problems people are suffering from at the present moment; clogged pores, acne, dehydrated skin, wrinkles, etc. But do they match up to the Korean sheet masks known for being top of the line?
Masqueology sent me four different sheet masks to test. I was given the following: Special Care Cream Mask, Vita Clarifying Cream Mask, Collagen Lifting Cream Mask and Intensive Moisture Hydrating Mask. I will begin my review of Skin Calming Cream Mask.
- SPECIAL CARE CREAM MASK – The sheet mask is enriched with aloe vera and peptides. The sheet mask contains a peptide ingredient giving elasticity to the skin. When I put on the sheet mask, it felt a little cold and felt ultra creamy. After waiting the required 20 minutes, I took off the sheet mask. My skin felt smooth and hydrated. There was some redness in my cheeks, but that went away in about ten minutes. I am guessing because my skin was so dehydrated there was a mini reaction to the moisture. But my skin felt so much better afterwards. I could see some plumpness under my eyes, erasing some of the fine lines. This was a good sheet mask.
- VITA CLARIFYING CREAM MASK – The sheet mask is supposed to restore the glow in lifeless skin. It helps combat free radicals and diminishes the signs of fine lines. The sheet masks contain vitamins, which helps clarify your skin. It hydrates and tones your skin, and helps erase fine lines and wrinkles. As instructed, I placed the sheet mask on my skin and waited 20 minutes. When I took the sheet mask off, I saw a glow in my cheeks and T-Zone. My skin felt moisturized, but I can not really say my skin felt toned.
- COLLAGEN LIFTING CREAM MASK – This sheet mask is supposed to lift and firm the unbalanced and tired skin. The collagen hydrates your tired skin to help lift and tighten. This sheet is a little special as it contains Adenosine; an anti-inflammatory which helps repair skin damage, and sinks into the skin to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. When I tried the mask, my skin did indeed feel slightly tighter, but nothing extreme. I mainly felt a tingle right under my eye and in my cheeks. It was nothing painful, but I did want to note that.
- MOISTURIZING CREAM MASK – The moisturizing cream mask is an intensive hydrating mask containing caviar. The sheet mask is infused with Sodium Hyaluronate which is to help restore moisture to the skin. The caviar helps to regenerate the skin, and keeps the skin elastic and plump. The sheet masks also contain Niacinamide, which helps with hyperpigmentation and dark spots. When I tested the sheet mask, I found it to be very creamy and intensely moisturizing. It also helped with the reduction of my fine lines. In my opinion this was the best mask for my dehydrated skin.
So other than some tingling here and there, I thought that these sheet masks were beneficial. I was able to lay on the couch and relax for 20 minutes while the masks did their jobs. And when the sheet masks were taken off, I had plump, moisturized skin with a reduction in my fine lines.
The Masqueology sheet masks retails for $2.50. It may be purchased in the beauty section of your local Wal-Mart.

Ohh, $2.50 per mask is a great price! I love sheet masks, yes, it can be time consuming but it’s also so easy to use and I use one 3 times a week.

I hope that you liked the masks as much as I did. I found them to be helpful with my dry skin.
