Primers. They make our lashes appear thicker and give them more volume than just using mascara alone. And because of what they can do, lash primers have become very popular on the market. Flooded with many, many lash primers, which one should you choose? Here are a few that I think are worthy of checking out to help amplify your lashes.
L’Oreal Voluminous Primer – this lash primer is the perfect partner for your mascara to boost every lash look. The primer is lightweight and builds extraordinary volume to your lashes. This lash primer conditions over time for soft nourished lashes. It goes on like white mascara, but gets covered up when you put on your mascara. The application goes on smoothly and is easily removed at the end of the day. L’Oreal Voluminous Primer retails for $8.99 and may be purchased at your local drugstore, ULTA and Target.
Clinique Lash Building Primer – this lash conditioning boosts the effects of Clinique mascaras. But you don’t necessarily need to use a Clinique mascara with this primer. A unique polymer combination holds this mascara to lashes for a longer, fuller look and extended wear. And the moisturizing formula helps condition and mend dry lashes. This is a good primer. It does not leave my lashes stiff and clumpy like other primers I have used. Clinique Lash Building Primer retails for $16.50. It may be purchased at ULTA, Sephora and Macy’s.
Diorshow Maximizer 3D Triple Volume Plumping Lash Primer – this wonderful primer has two uses; a deep conditioner for lashes at night and on a daily basis under mascara. The primer is lightweight and intensifies the effects of the mascara. This makes my lashes look longer and more beautiful than ever. It also keeps them spaced apart. They literally look fake! And I love the look of falsies. The Diorshow Maximizer 3D Triple Volume Plumping Lash Primer retails for $29.50. It may be purchased at Sephora, Macy’s and Nordstroms.
Whichever primer you choose, it will make your lashes appear longer and fuller, and give your mascara extended wear. I can always see the difference when I do not put on a layer of primer before I put on mascara. And here is a quick tip, do one eye at a time and put your mascara on while your primer is still wet.
Do you have a favorite primer, and if you do, why do you love it so much?

I had no idea lash primer was a thing?! I don’t think it’s as big over here in the UK (maybe I’m being clueless though haha). It sounds so useful, and the L’Oreal one seems right up my street

Yes. In the U.S. a loot of women like to use it to help thicken and lengthen their lashes. Should you locate some lash primer, put your mascara on before the primer dries. You will get a fuller effect.
