MAKEUP SETTING SPRAY WAR – Skindinavia Bridal Spray vs. Model In A Bottle Sensitive Skin

July 16, 2015

Purchased by Me

We all want our makeup to last for hours, which is why we turn to makeup setting sprays.  So which one is best?  Skindinavia or Model In A Bottle?

Did you know that Skindinavia the Urban Decay setting spray? It’s true. So why not go right to the source at a fraction of the price. To test this product, I put on a full face of makeup and sprayed my face a few times with the Skindinavia Bridal spray.

My makeup literally last until the end of the day; about 10 hours.  I’ve used it for a couple weeks now and I’ve noticed such a huge difference in the way my makeup looks when I go out at night. The best part is that even though it holds makeup in place so well, it still washes off extremely easy at night. Another super wonderful quality about this product is the fact that it is paraben free! This product is super light, no stickiness or tackiness and causes no problems to my skin at all, so I am able to wear it daily. This is one fantastic product.

Skindinavia vs Model in a bottle Makeup Finishing Spray Makeup Setting Spray

Model In A Bottle Sensitive Skin claims to have no touch ups and leaves a matte finish.  When I sprayed the product after putting on my makeup, it felt somewhat sticky.  Unfortunately Model In A Bottle’s matte finish gave me an older looking appearance and over-mattified.  The product has a nice smell, but might be over powering for some.  As for drying time, it does take a couple of minutes.  But if you fan yourself, it will dry faster. The bottle is not a convenient grip, as you press down it will slide out of your hands.  Also, it sprays in blotches and the glass is heavy.  So all in all not a terrible product, but not that great of a product either.

Skindinavia Bridal Spray retails for $29.00.  It may be purchased at www.dermstore.com, www.skinstore.com, and www.skindinavia.com.  If you wish to try Model in a Bottle Sensitive Skin it retails for $16.02.  It may be purchased at www.amazon.com.

I’ve tried the UD version before and like it but it’s not my favorite (current the Kat Von D Lock It is) but I’ll see about going to the source as you say with the Skindinavia Bridal spray. 🙂

Definitely go to the source and try a small bottle. I think that you will like it as much as the Kat Von D!
