All beauty bloggers have their favorite beauty vlogger they keep coming back to. I’m dating myself, but when I first started out putting on makeup, there was no YouTube in which I could refer to. There were books and people in department stores (arghhh I’m old). So back to what I was saying, beauty bloggers all have their favorite bloggers on YouTube, and over the years I have developed my own. So here are ones which are top notch in my opinion and why.
- Wayne Goss YouTube – he is an English makeup artist who tell it to you straight and not afraid to say it. Wayne Goss will not only reach you how to achieve a certain look, but will tell you why you are performing certain techniques. He gives makeup tips and tricks, and will also review new products (which are pretty on spot). Wayne Goss now has his own line of makeup brushes, which have gotten rave reviews. I like Wayne Goss’ tutorials because he explains them in such a way that you can pretty much get it the first try and you understand why you are doing it one way and not another way.
- Kandee Johnson YouTube – before becoming a YouTube star, Kandee Johnson was a celebrity makeup artist for television and commercials. Kandee has a lot of basic tutorials, that I sometimes refer to. The tutorials are fun and easy to understand; which I really like (no one wants to learn from someone that’s boring and dead in the water). And her makeup tricks are the best. My favorite is how to contour like a contour artist and how to achieve the perfect brows for the shape of your face.
- Alexandrea Garza YouTube – She does makeup tutorials without being too over the top, and without being too dull. Alexandra Garza just partnered with Eco Tool (makeup brush line) this year. She has reviewed her favorite and not so favorite products and why she did or did not like the product. Almost all reviews are on point. And, last but not least, Alexandra Garza reviews fashion too. Now I will say I am not on the same fashion page as she is, but it never hurts to read another person’s opinion.
So those are my favorite three makeup artists on YouTube. I could write more, but then we would be up to a dozen makeup artists. I have learned a lot from these three and invite you to look them up the next time you are on YouTube.
Who are your favortie(s) YouTube makeup artists and why?
