Primer. Nearly every brand of cosmetics produces one. And we all use it to keep our eye makeup stay on longer and make the eye makeup appear more pigmented. But Makeup Revolution has come up with a revolutionary product that not only primes the eye for your eye makeup, but seals it making the eye makeup waterproof. Makeup Revolution’s Aqua Seal is an answer for those of us whose eye shadow creases and eyeliner fades a few hours after it has been applied.
I put the Aqua Seal to the test. First, I used the Aqua Seal as a primer. I put a drop or two onto my palette (if you do not have a blank palette, you can use something that is non porous such as a tea cup holder or the lid to a plastic container). I then placed a concealer brush into the liquid, patted it onto my eye and let the liquid dry. Afterwards I put on my eyeshadow and liner as I usually do. I would say that my eye makeup lasted 10-12 hours. That 1s one of the longest periods of time my eyeshadow has lasted. Tip: If you want, you can use a metallic pigment and mix it with the liquid for a fantastic foil effect.
Next I tried the Aqua Seal as a sealant. I applied a regular primer, then placed my eye makeup on as I would ordinarily would. I then placed another drop of the Aqua Seal onto my blank palette, dipped my concealer brush into the liquid and gently patted the liquid on top of my eye makeup. Using the product in this manner makes your eye makeup waterproof. After the sealant dried, my eye makeup definitely was waterproof. In addition having watery eyes, I live in the deep south where humidity reigns. My eyeshadow lasted at least 10 hours. This includes me running errands in hot and humid weather.
I would without a doubt recommend this product. I will warn you that the product has only 0.18 fl oz. It is not a lot of product, but you use just a tiny bit when applying it to your eyes. The Makeup Revolution Aqua Seal retails for $6.00. It may be purchased at ULTA and www.makeuprevolutionstore.com.
