Normally I don’t pay attention to the Wet n’ Wild brand because of the previous bad experiences I had with the brand. But when I was at CVS the other day I saw two palettes, their Megaglo Contouring Palette, and the Wet n’ Wild Megaglo Illuminating Palette. The palettes were beautiful and rich in color, so I gave it another shot and purchased both palettes.
MEGAGLO CONTOUR PALETTE (Dulce De Leche palette) – The palette is large in size, and the colors are very pigmented. However, it is powdery and you get a lot of product on your brush in one swipe. I did notice on the back of the Megalglo Contour palette, Wet n’ Wild provided a map of how to contour your face with arrows pointing to where the contour shade color is supposed to be placed and arrows where the highlighter shade goes. This is great if you are just learning how to contouring your face. You don’t need a YouTube video playing next to you as you place the contour on your face. Just flip to the back of the contouring palette as reference.
MEGAGLO ILLUMINATING PALETTE (Catwalk Pink palette) – This is also a large palette. The colors in this palette are light gold, light pink, medium pink and medium gold. These colors are luminous, almost glittery, and easy to blend. Like the contour palette, this palette is also powdery, and it does not come with a face map on the back like the contour palette. Wet n’ Wild makes the claim that the colors can be worn together or alone. I do not think wearing one of the colors by itself works. They way the palette is set, it is meant to be blended. One color by itself does not give you the best payoff.
Overall, both of the palettes work beautifully, and together you get a lot of bang. The palettes are complimentary and deliver a flawlessly sculpted face in no time. They leave you looking your best, no matter what the occasion.
The Megaglo Contour and Illuminating Palettes retail for $4.99. They may be purchased at your local drugstore and www.wetnwildbeauty.com.
